Make A Donation

Double Your Donation December 20th, 2011: A donor from Santa Barbara Foundation just made a generous challenge grant that will match your donation dollar for dollar up to $15,000 by February 15th 2012. For example, your $25 donation becomes $50 and $100 becomes $200, etc. 2011 has been a tremendously difficult year for Tibetan communities. Tibetans have faced increased threats to their culture, identity and way of life. TVP is one of few organizations still active on the Tibetan plateau and our staff takes risks on a daily basis just to help others.

About the Tibetan Village Project

The Tibetan Village Project (TVP) is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through sustainable development projects and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Tibet.

TVP is operated by its volunteer board members and staff, led by Tamdin Wangdu, the founder and executive director of TVP who is from Tibet and now lives in US.

Overhead costs such as office space and office supplies are donated, and operational costs are covered by earned income through volun-tourism trips to Tibet and gift sales.

All TVP donors receive monthly project updates by email and an annual finance and project report at the end of each fiscal year. In this way, you - the donor - know exactly what TVP has done with your money and the difference we, together, have made in the lives of many Tibetans.
